Well I just backspaced the statement "well nothing of note has been going on this month" because actually there has been a lot going on this month! So here's just a little update on June for you:
I guess here's a little bit of the spiritual update. I have indexed 862 names so far, and I hope to be at 4,000 by the time that school starts. I'm really getting better at reading the "old people" handwriting, but if that doesn't work I've always got my mom with her experience with doctor's handwriting. Her help comes with free mocking as a result of some of the things I come up with (Charky, can never figure out the name Blanche, put in Iowa when it actually said Penne). But it's been fun having her be involved with helping me. She never seems to say "no" to getting off the couch and coming over to the computer when I'm doing "the Lord's work" :).
I missed going to the temple last week, and there is totally a double meaning in that. I didn't go for reasons I don't know why, and I really missed going. I just didn't feel as awesome without my weekly temple visit. I made up for it by going twice this week. I went today after I finished volunteering at the hospital (getting things ready for the new NICU open house. It's very exciting). I was happy the day before when I went, but after I got out today I was overwhelmingly happy. I sang very loudly on the way home I was filled with such heaping amounts of joy. It was rather wonderful :). It was a really special visit actually. The construction is going on by the doors to the baptistry, so to get in there you have to go through the doors by the loading dock. I love the women temple workers who escort you down. They are so kind, helpful, and just all around sweet. Pretty much anyone who works there is the sweetest person alive in my eyes. I finally got to be confirmed before going to the baptistry, which was nice because lately they had just been confirming me in the baptistry so I had to sit and shiver in a plastic chair. The man who did the baptism for me recognized me, which is pretty cool because it seems I am becoming a regular. But the coolest part was when the escort was taking me back after I finished. I say my Grandma and Grandpa Oswald! It was so much fun to see them, and Grandma quickly introduced me to everyone around. The escort gave me my all time favorite comments as well. She said to Grandma "I bet she is just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside." How cool is that? I mean really, could you have someone say something better about you? It was really humbling (Yes, mom humbling. Don't you give me that "well I think it did the opposite of humbling". Okay, maybe it did a little...) Then when we were leaving, the escort said to me "I think your grandparents are very proud of you." I mean really, HOW COOL? Could you get any better compliments by someone in the same two minutes? It really lifted my spirits. I will always remember those sweet words, and I think they will always be there to lift me up when I'm down. I really appreciate her.
Also, I've wanted to give more of my summer to service. I already volunteer at the hospital, but I want to do more. So I started a Supply Drive for the Haven Shelter for the month of June. It's been cool to see how interested people have been in it. If you want any information, give me a call! I'm also planning on helping Jodi out with Relay for Life. If you have any ideas for anything else, holla at me!
Finally, my ward and I got to go down to Salt Lake City for Youth Conference! But I will make a seperate post for that because I need to get the pictures. Well that's the update so far!

I love.....
The Temple!!!
I have been trying to go once a week and do baptisms for the dead. It's so wonderful and I love it so very much. I love the strong spirit that resides with you there and the feeling of peace it brings.
I also have found joy in....
Indexing!!!
I was a skeptic at first, but I also got a good spirit when I started for the first time yesterday. And actually, it was a lot of fun :) I feel like I'm helping on both ends to further the work along, and it feels great!

Long Time No Blog and the Accidental Date to the Temple
Yes, don't judge me. It's been awhile since I've been on here to blog. In fact, it's almost been a year. But I've deleted my Facebook account (I thought it was a waste of time) and so I'll probably be on here more often. Because this is pretty much journaling, right? This isn't as big as a waste of time. Well, that's what I'm going to tell myself anyway. So here's a rundown of stuff that's been going on:
I'm section leader for the flutes! That means I'm first chair, and THAT means I help run the whole section and I'm one of the best players. I'm pretty proud of myself. My talent has grown a lot this year, and I pulled out my life's best performance during Junior Miss this year. If you weren't there we have a DVD of it. Come over and watch it if you don't mind my bitter commentary about how i was totally robbed in the judging :)
I now work at the Riot Zone, which I am pretty pumped about. It's outside, a lot of running around, and I love my boss, managers, and co-workers. You guys should totally come by and say hi someday :)
I'm single. It's awesome. Nuff said.
I took the ACT in February and got a 27. Meh, not too bad ;). I'm taking it again in September. I also had the AP English test on Wednesday, and I think I did very well. I'll tell you what I get when the results come back in July. And I've been taking a Duel Enrollment U.S. History class, which not only will I get 3 college credits out of, but I'm probably going to get an A on my college transcript for this class as well. I'm super close, and all I need to do is do awesome on the final.
I've also been spending a lot of time at the temple. I've been trying to go at least once every week to do baptisms for the dead, and I just have to share this story:
Okay, so I was going up to the doors to go into the baptistry and a guy had just rang the doorbell in front of me. The temple workers didn't answer quickly enough, so as a result, as much as we were trying not to associate with each other, we ended up being right next to each other when the doors opened. They checked our reccomends, and we were off, not another word said. I got dressed and headed out for confirmations. The line was a little backed up in confirmations because they were having a tender family moment in the rooms and I ended up sitting next to the same kid waiting for to be confirmed. They called us into the same confirmation room, and both of us had to wait until we were done to leave. Then, in the baptistry one of the temple workers came up to me and annouced they were doing a ward shift and I would have to wait, but I could go sit by the "nice young man i came in with" while they were doing the shift. Yup, they thought we were a couple. I saw that coming. It ended up just being me and this kid in the baptistry (and two other guys from another ward) so I went over to him and broke the news that the temple workers thought we were a couple. We both got a good kick out of this. His name is Jake Stetsmon and he's in my old ward from Iona. He moved in a year after we moved out. He goes to the temple about 3 times a week. I would love to be able to do that. We did baptisms and we didn't see each other afterwards, but it was nice to have an accidental date to the temple :)
So there's my bragging and some of the highlights for my school year. It's good to be back blogging, and you'll probably be hearing a lot more from me!

Soooo....Hi hahaha
Yes... i know. Long time no blog posts. I've been so busy with my AP class that anything fun had to be postponed for nine months. I got my first A- in that class....ugh. hahahahaha don't judge me i'm an overachiever. Now i have a 3.94 instead of a 4.0. I took the AP test at the beginning of may, and i'm very nervous for the results. I hope i passed! I get to know the first of july. Well the last of April i got to go to Denver for a band trip. We got first in our division and second overall. Here's some pictures!!!

Warm River Vacation
Hey there! Just for the record, I'm over my soup obsession. I know, fast huh? Meh i'm not one to watch the tv. It just feels like a time sucker and i really can't stand all the crap that's on it nowadays. It's still funny and i watch clips on the web still, but i think i'm done with religiously watching it.
I've been gone this whole week because it was VACATION TIME! Warm River was awesome! I got an awesome tan, and i think i was the only girl who didn't totally burn. My face did a little. We met my cousin Ambers fiance (sp?) Justin, and he's a pretty cool kid and a perfect choice for her (and no i'm not just saying that because she's probably reading this haha.) We ate snow cones, ate food, floated the river nonstop, played night games with the other groups, got whistled at by boys (nothing new haha kidding), ate food, swam in the river, washed our hair and shaved our legs in the river for all to see haha, ate food, played Bananagrams, played phase 10, played Perudo, played Pit, and ate food. haha!
This is the tent I lived in the whole week. It's a little intimidating having to live with such neat freaks ;)
Kaitie and Kenzie being dorks.
This is the trail I would run on or bike with my mom. It used to be railroad tracks. It's 3 miles uphill and 3 back down. at the end in an old railroad tunnel. You used to be able to go through but it collapsed. It's the most beautiful run ever and i loved it so much. These next few pictures are of the trail and the top and the view.

Can you believe how clear this water is? It was so nice to swim in!
I triumphed the hill, and here's a picture to prove it!
Super awesome picture taken by me on the top of the hillPart of the Fam

Music Sadness.
So sad news today. First all time band obsession, whom I still love and always will, Panic at the Disco, lost their guitarist and bassist. They're going off on their own projects, but part of me died a little. I've been searching stuff on them all day, and the two remaining members are still making music, and it's super feel good makes you wanna dance stuff. I think they're going to be the same, if not, better band. haha i know you guys don't care, this is mainly for Kaitie Jo. I'll put some of their music on my playlist. Go down and listen to some of it, it's really good and it makes you have a high level of joy. here's a video their singer, the guy in the funny glasses, is in. It's for Coca Cola
here's a music vid from the old band...one of my favorite songs
Gawl! and if life in my music world could get any worse, i was going to see one of my all time fave bands (top 5) Before their eyes, but the singer's wife had a baby and his back up got sick, so they cancelled the rest of their tour. and the other band i wanted to see too dropped out. the replacement bands suck. THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE KARLI AND MY REPLACEMENT WARPED TOUR. Now i'm sad about not being able to go to warped tour again. A little more of me died.

The Soup
haha i LOVE this show. I'm slightly obsessed. Mostly because it makes fun of the stupid shows on the television. It's really the only thing i watch on TV...which doesn't really make any sense because it's about watching TV.
We're having a BBQ at our house for the 4th of july and we're lighting off fireworks...talk to my mom about it.
